MPR began as MARCIT in 1983. Formed by nine local government Members as a public entity risk pool serving municipal governments in the Kansas City region. MPR has grown to a Membership of more than 120 Members in Missouri and Kansas.  This growth comes from the realization that "pooling" remains the best choice for serving the risk management interests of local governments.  MPR is the only public entity pool in Missouri offering employee benefits, workers' compensation, and property and liability programs to local governments.
