MEMBER REPRESENTATIVE INFORMATION

Each Member names one of their full-time employees to serve as a Member Representative to the pool. The Member Representative is the liaison between MPR and the public entity. It is important that the Member Representative understands his or her role and the importance of communicating to his or her staff any information that is provided by MPR. As a Member-driven organization, MPR Member Representatives are able to participate in collective ownership by helping to direct pool services. This is MPR’s greatest success. Additionally, each year at our annual fall conference, Member Representatives are asked to vote, on behalf of their entity, to elect the Board of Directors who guides MPR. Specific training resources have been developed to assist Member Representatives to be successful in this role. Additional opportunities for helping to shape MPR operations are available to Member employees through participation on advisory committees. If you have any questions about your role as a Member Representative, please contact Cassie Howerton, Executive Administrative Assistant.
